As per my knowledge,it should be less than 30.So,your reading is slightly higher.Plese open the following link. You will get more clear picture.
Thanx on behalf of Malak. You both are very considerate and helpful.
When healthunlocked conducted a survey (you may have received it too in your mail), along with a few other names I've mentioned yours too who are inspiration to many through your vast knowledge on the subject. You also have a heart of gold.
Any news about the type1 11 year old girl whose father was frantically looking out for a solution. You initiated along with a volunteer (type I) to form a club for them, what happened ?
You wrote a wonderful analysis of LCHF diet.Very well researched, accurate and brilliantly presented .It was about one month back.Yesterday I put my comments on that article.By the way looking at the way you have analysed, give rise to suspicion that you may be a fully qualified medical doctor.
Thank you for interacting. From your posts and writings on this forum it is apparent that you are a well read person on the subject.but I would like to add a few things.First of all that it is still in lab. stage on mice neural cell. has produced some insulin, not yet true for humans. So it can not be said that insulin is produced by brain.Insulin is almost exclusively produced by Pancreas.
Secondly brain is insensitive to insulin, this idea was disproved long way back.As a matter of fact insulin has many function in brain.I simply say that new researches are linking it to MCI and AD.
There is Sloka in Sanskrit which says I remember only a part,"Learned people become very courteous and polite."
Dr.Manfred Sakal was the name of doctor
who started Insulin coma Therapy(ICT) in early 1930,he was a Polish, who later migrated to USA.It was later around 60 stopped on the ground it is inhuman. As far as t/t of Alzheimer's disease is concerned, research is in very early stage. It has looked promising with a group of 104 persons and project study lasting only four months.so let it be a larger group for a longer period for proper evaluation. But in this forum point is entirely different. We are not discussing Alzheimer or Rosoglitasone. It has become quite apparent now that INSULIN plays a very important role in the functioning of brain, specially those areas of brain which are directly responsible for memory, learning and cognitive skills. From Diabetic point of view insulin resistance leads to lower than normal level of insulin in brain which results in memory loss.Memory loss is so common in person with DM specially with advancing age.So the question is if by controlling diet ,diabetes could be kept under leash, then no amount of medication can compare with it.
