what can be done to stop foamy urine

The most obvious cause of foamy urine is the speed of urination. ... Sometimes, urine can also foam up when it's concentrated. Your urine is more concentrated if you haven't had much water to drink and you're dehydrated. Foamy urine can also indicate that you have too much of a protein, such as albumin, in your urine. But you should see your doctor if you have persistently foamy urine that becomes more noticeable over time.

Treatment. Drinking clear fluids and taking oral medication may treat the causes of foamy urine. Treatments for foamy urine depend on the underlying cause. If a person is dehydrated, they should drink more clear fluids, until the urine is pale yellow or nearly transparent.

Undergo urinalysis test/ protein urine test.

Let me share my experience with the same problem.I used to urinate directly into the water remaining in the water closet and lot foam was generated. But,when I started to urinate outside the water, there was no foaming.

Hi ignatius

Not wanting to worry you but my wee is foamy. My Consultant said it is due to my kidney disease. Obviously there can be many other causes. Would be worth checking with your doctor though. It “only” takes a urine sample to check for protein.

Good luck that it isn’t though 👍.
