If the injury is such that your normal routine is disturbed,diabetes management is sure to be impaired.In my experience,my sugar levels spiked when I went through a phase of sleeplessness.Injuries must also have the same effect,in my opinion.
Yes. My sugar even rose when I contacted flu recently. And it came down when I recovered. My guess is blood sugar rises for giving extra much needed energy to the body for recovery. It perhaps rises in normal people too but stays within limits and anyways non diabetic people will never think of checking their sugar when ill!
