Very Stressed, Age 29, T2D, Hb1ac 9.5
Your numbers are pretty high, considering you are only 29.Not sure why you are avoiding medication, but I am of the opinion that you immediately visit a speciality diabetes clinic and get yourself properly evaluated, particularly to eliminate LADA.You should gain thorough knowledge about diabetes in all facets of it, so that you set yourself a suitable course of action.Without knowledge, you may make wrong choices. This is important because you have a long life ahead. The search function on this web page will clarify all your doubts.
Stress is a very powerful trigger for onset of diabetes. If you understand why and how you are getting stressed up,you can figure out how to manage it.There are several stress relieving techniques like walking, sports, soothing melodious music, yoga asanas, breathing exercises etc, which you have to practice regularly as per your choice.
Thanks you sir for your reply, I am regularly checking my fasting blood sugar through Accu check device, and now a days it's around 110 along with my diet and exercise. Can you please let me know about LADA, in my other test my Lipids are also at a high side and I am having a large tummy also around 40".
Large tummy is a real problem.LADA stands for Latent Auto Immune Disorder in Adults. As you might be knowing, type 1 diabetes manifests at a very early age i.e childhood. It sometimes occurs among adults and gets confused with type 2 diabetes. This confusion may cause problems because treatment for the two types. So,diabetics like you who are young are advised to screen for type 1,by estimating how much the pancreas is producing insulin.Your doctor will advise you correctly and proceed with appropriate treatment.Open the following link to know more about LADA.
As far as I know, lipid control is possible with better control over diet and taking statin drugs with medical prescription
Thanks for the reply sir, will consult with the doctor regarding the same..
Welcome to the group, Cmarohit. I can understand you are going through a stressful condition but as ramana42 said stress is not good for us. It is definitely not going to help.
It is good that you would like to control conditions through dietary and lifestyle changes. However, your HbA1c seems to be quite high and also you are very young. It is not good to have elevated blood sugar for long. You should first see your Doctor and get the HbA1c down to 6.5% or lower. As your conditions improve through diets and exercise you can always reduce the medicine intake and finally eliminate them completely if possible.
For your age, it is always good to have tests done to rule out LADA. Talk to your Doctor about this.
Finally, diets have a direct and immediate effect on your post-meal blood sugar number. Do not expect an immediate change in your fasting blood sugar number due to diet. However, when you lose weight with time fasting BS also tends to fall.

First of all congratulations on your success in bringing your blood sugar number down. It seems you are doing the right thing.
I did not know you had a severe weight issue. LADA which is also known as Type 1.5 diabetes affects at rather young age due to insulin deficiency. However, in your case, it seems it is/was the weight issue. Could you please let us know your height and weight?
Thanks for the encouragement sir, my height is 5.7 and weight was around 75, my BMI was also above 25. The day I got the results, I started running and walking along with tummy exercises on and off, but walking regularly for app 7 km. I have restricted my carbs , eating salads and cooked veges along with drinking water regularly at ease 2 litres, stopped sugar intake and tea, I used to take herbal tea and stopped fruits also for time being, will consider involving them in diet after considering my BG number and also stopped all sort of outdoor foods. I have a history of diabetics in my family ( Grand Father, Father, Uncle's ).
Am I on the right track ??
Yes, I believe you are on right track. There are few things to note that you do not have to remain hungry if you choose right food, it will promote weight loss, keep your blood sugar down and keep you satiated also.
Reducing the carbohydrate contents from your diet is a great way to achieve all the above objectives. The balance of the energy can be derived from good fat and protein. You seem to be vegetarian. Am I right? I understand it is rather difficult designing low carb diet with vegetarian food but possible.
Sir, I don't have any issues with non-veg, infact I am trying to start Low Carb High Fat diet, may be it can also help me in bringing the PP down along with FBS and HB1AC.
I am glad to learn that you eat non-veg. It is rather easy to follow Low carb diet with non-veg. I do not want to interfere with what you have already chosen unless you need any help. By following the right diet you should be losing around 1kg/week without any side effects. If you have any query regarding LCHF or any diet you are welcome to ask.
Dear Sir,
I have already lose 7.5 kg in last one month with my correct diet regime and exercise, I am on intermittent fasting also 16:8. Main issue is I am having anxiety regarding my situation, prior to my diagnose, it was ok no major issues as such, but the day after my diagnose, I have started to feel the pain also, blurred vision also and other tingling issues but I have noticed that when I am free from such thoughts, all symptoms vanishes. Stress and anxiety is all over me. Lease help me in this.
One thing more sir, I spent lots of time on internet searching complications and worrying about that..
Hello Rohit,
I fully understand your situation. I would advise remaining focused on solutions rather than looking for complications on the net. I believe you have taken right actions and you are getting encouraging results also. There is no reason for you to be depressed with an imaginary scenario.
If you have some symptoms/concerns/any other health issue it is better to talk to your Doctor. Do not start imagining things on your own. Do not hesitate to take medicines if Doctor prescribes them to you. Please remember that in general diabetics take better care of their overall health and lead a better quality of life. It is not a disease but just a disorder.
Net is a good place to learn but over-engagement particularly when you have some condition may become counterproductive. Please spend time with your friends and family and enjoy life fully.
Thank you so much for your prompt replies and advice sir. Will now try to focus on real things rather than imaginary.
Will definitely take your help regarding the LCHF diet.
yes on right track....keep walking on this path for some more time..... may be one year??
may be after one year you will see good results... but you need to follow this life style thru out ur life... (sometimes you can deviate/cheat)
Thanks for reply sir, will continue as prescribed..
My fasting sugar was 597 in Feb 2016 when i was 27.
I was very frustrated at that time, you can read about that in my older posts. I had severe headache for 3 months due to nerve damage in the occipital head. My eyesight was changed. I am having continues Giddiness since Feb 2016.The Giddiness was so severe that i had to sit at home for 3 months. I was not even able to eat due to Giddiness. I was not able to sleep property cause when i used to lie on bed it used to pain like heck as occipital head is a base. After some VRE exercises i started feeling better.
Today after 1 year my a1c is 5.45. fasting sugar is 100 and pp is 125. I am still having continues Giddiness but i am used to it now and able to manage work and my daily chores.
Don't get frustrated , remember we have only one life and we have to live it happily.
Thank you so much for your encouragement. I am trying hard to get these numbers down and would like to wish you all the best for your journey too

Good morning friends
Have been very irregular here as Anup left and I had no posts of his to check as he deleted his account. Joined his site and upgraded my account as it is a paid site. I am wowed by all the support and guidance that guys there give when it comes to LCHF diet and that's the only thing they talk there. So many ready made meal plans and dishes to check into and almost 24X7 support and specific answers to every qstn.
Happy to report that my PPBS is usually in low 120 range or high 110 after 110 min. Anup and his team run a really great support group. Will have my detailed tests done soon to see how much my A1C has improved. I am on zero medications and non diabetic numbers. Not much exercise, just control through diet.
Hi Sir, can you suggest a typical Indian LCHF Diet. Or if you can guide me to any website which gives menu for indian LCHF diet, it would be of great help.
Sorry, I am not aware of reasons.
But, he is always around on his site and the WhatsApp group of that site. The team there is active almost 24 hrs a day. Someone is always around.
Happy to share that my A1C is down to 6.1 now. Great support, great help from Anup Singh's site. More focus on diet is what they say and they give precise answers to everything. They make following LCHF so easy with detailed steps and huge number of recipes. Worth every penny i spent on subscription as i don't have to spend countless hours on youtube and google. I am sure to hit 5.6 or lower in next few months. No medicines.
