It is true that diabetics are relatively more prone to hypertension,in fact a host of many other complications.That is the reason why we should prefer to consult a dedicated diabetes clinic rather than a general clinic.A diabetes clinic monitors all relevant parameters including hypertension.

Thanks Ramana,

I am doing it since I diagnose diabetes infact I yearly do fully body tests at my Dr's clinic specially for diabetes.

But with my small knowledge I think Allopathy medicine has lots of side effects and instead of treating diabetes they will harmfully effect our other major body organs.

Agree with you that long term use of oral diabetic medicines do affect our health,particularly kidneys and liver.In my view,successful diabetes management means reducing dependence on oral medication to the minimum and rely more on diet control,adequate physical activity and avoiding stressful situations.But,some medication is always needed.

Lifestyle changes can help you control and prevent high blood pressure — even if you're taking blood pressure medication.

Here's what you can do:--

* Eat healthy foods.

* Decrease the salt in your diet.

* Maintain a healthy weight.

* Increase physical activity.

* Limit alcohol.

* Don't smoke.

* Manage stress.

* Monitor your blood pressure at home.

* Practice relaxation or slow, deep breathing.

Adopt DASH diet (Mediterranean diet). Eat a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet, which includes cottage cheese, fat-free milk, fish, vegetables, poultry, and egg whites. Use monounsaturated oils such as olive, peanut, and canola oils or polyunsaturated oils such as corn, safflower, soy, sunflower, cottonseed, and soybean oils. Avoid foods with excess fat in them such as meat (especially liver and fatty meat), egg yolks, whole milk, cream, butter, shortening, pastries, cakes, cookies, gravy, peanut butter, chocolate, olives, potato chips, coconut, cheese (other than cottage cheese), coconut oil, palm oil, and fried foods.
