Do you mean Mclazide-M? Mclazide M Tablet contains Gliclazide and Metformin as active ingredients. Govt of India has such drug combination in 15th March 2016.
Gliclazide is an anti-diabetic medication used to treat diabetes mellitus type 2. It is used when dietary changes, exercise, and weight loss are not enough. It is taken by mouth.
Side effect may include low blood sugar including dizziness, lack of energy, drowsiness, headache, vomiting, abdominal pain, rash, sweating and liver problems. Use by those with significant kidney problems, liver problems, or who are pregnant is not recommended. Weakness, nervousness, shakiness, and numbness or tingling have also been reported.
Composition for Piopar 15mg Tablet is Pioglitazone (15mg).
Pioglitazone is used with a diet and exercise program and sometimes with other medications, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and therefore cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Pioglitazone is in a class of medications called thiazolidinediones. It works by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin, a natural substance that helps control blood sugar levels.
Pioglitazone can cause fluid retention and peripheral edema. As a result, it may precipitate congestive heart failure. It may cause anemia. Mild weight gain is common due to increase in subcutaneous adipose tissue. In studies, patients on pioglitazone had an increased proportion of upper respiratory tract infection, sinusitis, headache, myalgia and tooth problems. On June 9, 2011 the French Agency for the Safety of Health Products decided to withdraw pioglitazone in regards to high risk of bladder cancer.
Composition for Glador M 1 Tablet ER is Glimepiride (1mg), Metformin (500mg)
Glimepiride is used along with diet and exercise, and sometimes with other medications, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Glimepiride lowers blood sugar by causing the pancreas to produce insulin (a natural substance that is needed to break down sugar in the body) and helping the body use insulin efficiently. This medication will only help lower blood sugar in people whose bodies produce insulin naturally.
Metformin is used alone or with other medications, including insulin, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Metformin is in a class of drugs called biguanides. Metformin helps to control the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. It decreases the amount of glucose you absorb from your food and the amount of glucose made by your liver. Metformin also increases your body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood.
Mitovit Tablet (vitamins + minerals) is used for Vitamin deficiency, High blood pressure, Scurvy, Heart attack, Chest pain, Leg pain due to blocked arteries and other conditions.
Composition for Pioz MF - 15 Tablet SR is Pioglitazone (15mg), Metformin (500mg). On 15th March 2016 Govt of India has banned fixed dose combination of pioglitazone + metformin.
