Priya... Your figures are, pardon me for being frank, quite high and you need to work on yourself to bring the values under control.
Couple of observations from my end
a) As Champak045 has observed above, moving to a Low Carb High Fat diet will help. Most important is to reduce carbohydrates in the food that you take. In simple terms reduce items like Rice, White Bread etc. A good source of information about the amount of carbohydrates in all kinds of food including wide variety of Indian food - myfitnesspal.com
I believe in one principal - What gets measured gets done. So you can sign up at the above site for free and Everyday enter the food that you have eaten for breakfast, lunch etc. At the end of the day you can see for yourself how much of carbohydrates you have consumed. And then start adjusting your food intake so that you reduce the carbs content. This is what I have been doing for close to 18 months now and has reduced my HbA1c value to 6.1.
b) I do this and you will have to see how you can adopt for your life. Each person is different and has a different past and hence I do not say - do this or that. I only suggest some steps. I use a watch which tells me how many steps I have walked during the day. There are many who suggest brisk walking. I believe this can cause problems. So again measure. Measure how many steps you walk currently, then gradually increase. I made the mistake of increasing too fast and ended up with pain in the right knee. So just increase gradually and you will reach a stage where you are burning up the sugar in your body.
Sum arising - reduce carbohydrate intake and increase activity. But measure all the time. I hope these suggestions help
thanks...sure will check
