I am presently on the Ketogenic diet. I have taken a 12-week programme to see how it affects my blood glucose, body weight and overall health including lipid profile. So far (7-8weeks into it) it has been very good.

Yes, it is not high protein but low carb, high fat, and moderate protein. diet. Protein is typically 1gm per kg of body weight. Carbohydrate is limited to 30gm or less. Rest should be fat. In order to lose body weight, one would like to keep fat less than what is needed so that balance energy can be drawn from body fat.
