Reversal of diabetes
Yes, ShooterGeorge as he claims!
There are differing views about this. One view is that,if one is diagnosed as a diabetic, but with great effort through diet control, exercise and what not(without medicines),bring down the numbers to non diabetic level,it is said that diabetes is under excellent control. Some people consider it as reversal of diabetes.Maybe,if that person gets through OGTT satisfactorily,we can take a view on this.Glad if somebody reports such success.Deserve congratulations.
Reversal of diabetes is only temporary. As you get older, you have to take diabetic pills. When the oral medicines are ineffective, you have to adopt insulin therapy.

what you say has also been my experience.in case diabetes Ii there is progressive increase of the disorder no single remedy works all the time..
yes, dm2 is reversible but it will take time. if you are taking metformin it is good and if not, no mind. The metformin only reduce the hungerness and this can also be achieved by diet control. The main this for reversing the dm2 is to loose the weight. if you shed the 13% wt. your dm2 will become history. thats why the person who get the bariatic surgery also loose their dibetes. you have only to loose 1gm fat from your pancrea which is nearly 13 % wt loss of your body. dr Roy Tailor also proved it and can be searched in web. i am also suffered with dm2 and now my sugar level come down to 120 fasting and 138 prandial from 220 and 260 respectively within 3 months with low carb dietand sufficient protien. i also loosed some neural problem (tingling sensation) in my feet.
Diabetes can be controlled but probably can never be reversed. If if you control and manage HbA1c to 5.6 or even less and then suddenly go for GTT test sugar will be high. To me it is better to be controlled and managed for pretty long time.
how can we come to know what diet to take to control sugar and also not increase fat content? pl suggest diet plan
Yes, me. I have not had any mediine for a year and a half, and my blood sugar and a1c are normal. Note that I used to have fasting levels 360+ and postprandial 500+.
