I usually take dinner around 21.00 pm. Around 23.00 I checked my sugar which was 6.8. In the morning around 10.00 am fasting (after having a glass of water). The sugar was 7.6. Since I did not took any thing except water between 23.00 and 10.00am, logically it should be less than 6.8. Will someone enlighten me on this. Thanks. Hussain.

What medication did your doctor recommended for your blood sugar control? Are you on insulin? Are you type 1, 1.5 (LADA) or type 2?
I gather from many sources that sugar levels keep changing due to many factors ,especially due to hormonal influences .
Fluctuations in sugar are most times inexplicable for laymen like us.I read somewhere that if you indulge in any kind of physical activity before breakfast, the brain and liver may release some sugars into the bloodstream to meet the additional energy demands.I hope someone on the forum will throw light on this correctly.
Its may be due to " dawn phenomenon” . please research about this and take action ..
This effect is most likely to occur following an episode of untreated nighttime hypoglycemia, resulting in high blood sugar levels in the morning. People who wake up with high blood sugar may need to check their blood glucose levels in the middle of the night (for example, around 3 AM).
You can google more to know more about this or talk to doctor about this.
The dawn phenomenon is a normal physiological process where certain hormones in our body work to raise blood glucose levels before we wake up,
yes. I think it could one of the reasons.
Our Body Manages better than any other way .. If you are controlling BG naturally without medicines , we cant face HYPO ,so no DAWN effect. This is beauty of Our Body. If you take Metformin or insulin , our body will loose capacity to manage HYPO .. then we go hypo everytime ..
I too managing with diet and excessive . started from HBa1c 11.2 and fasting 211 , now my fasting + or - 100 and 2 hours reading never cross 180 ..
Hi dear, can you please provide me diet suggestions you are following?
In easy terms , I just reduced my Food intake to 50 % of what i previously eating .
Avoided Sugar of all forms , and Exercise 3 KM walk (30 mins)+ 30 mins exercise in morning and evening.
Breakfast , Chapathy 2 / Idly 2 etc .. Half What I used to take
Meals , Very Small Portion ( 1 Ragi / Brown Rice / Millet Rice ) + Vegetables Salads ( full plate)
Dinner - 2 Chapthy nothing else
ALMONDS / Cucumber or some fruits Whenever I feel I need something to eat .
ITS STILL LOT OF CARBS and technically not LCHF but I want to move to LCHF slowly .
This is the effect of fasting because the body is devoided and hence the body pumps sugar in the blood stream.

I have explained in detail on this forum. I don't know how to retrieve that. But in short.
At around 4 am release of cortisol, gh, adrenaline, glucagon, etc. start as circadian rhythm. It's normal and nature's attempt to prepare us for daytime activities. All these hormones raise glucose by neoglucogenesis. Our tired pancreas yet clearing overnight backlog of glucose can't cope with this surge of glucose. So fbs is higher than last night's bs.
Hello ma'am, can you please provide some dietary suggestions?
I DO EXPERIENCE .AT 5.00 AM WITH GLUCO METER FASTING SUGAR 110 . I GO TO THE DOCTOR FOR CONSULTATION THERE FASTING SUGAR IS 170 .I DIDN'T TAKE EVEN WATER
