I am diabetic,(27 years,56 kg) taking pioz-MF 15(500 mg) single dose just before breakfast. The thing I noticed is that my morning post meal BG level is always good(100-110). My afternoon BG level is also good postmeal (<140). But my night readings after meal is always high. It tends to exist between (140-180,even if I do walk after eating). But in some rare cases it will cross 200(happened sometimes). SO I just wanted to know what can I do to keep my night BG under control. If anyone is also same kind of problem like me then he can tell me his idea or solution. I will be very thankful to him. Should I increase the dose or change the medicine or append the existing one. I do take very light meals in night and have restricted chapatis in my diet (max 3 in a day). I also want to increase my weight a little how can I do that. Please suggest me

1) idm

2) you are taking insufficient dose. Is that the dose your doctor has recommended ? I don't think so. Please don't modify dosage at your whim without understanding the disease.

3) what is your fasting bs ?

4) why do you want to increase your weight ? Losing body fat will help you to control your D. Increase muscle mass and not fat.

my fasting BG are most of the time less than 100(today is was 95). Want to increase my weight because I am under weight (56 kgs). I want to look little fatty.

Sorry bro. That's very old concept. Never should your bs cross 140 to avoid any ill effects of D. Even 1hr pp should be below 140.

sorry but this is for non diabtic. For diabetics I think this is not possible, if it was then we will be non diabetic

Whatever i have written is true. Everything is possible. You can reverse your D and become drug free. There are many on this forum. The only thing impossible at present for us is to get cured and go to the diet we used to take previously.

I'm grain free for last six months. My diet plan was posted here just a few days back but you find out what suits you. Try to find out from google. Learn basic principles and plan your own diet.

Good luck

yeah it was 6.1 before when every thing was under control. But from last month my night post meal BG is a little out of control. Dont know what to do. Let me meet doctor this time and I will plan according to that. And thanks for your comments.

@Xxxy2j

don't judge the status of your D from one parameter only. Get other tests also done.

When I was firstly diagonsed with diabetes my HBA1C was 7.9 Fasting-250, Postmeal-395. I was very depressed that day but decided to improve it. Within 6 months things were ok for me. But I want to maintain this constant line.
