Blood sugar report

Hi all,

Today i checked my blood sugar level.Fasting is 115 mg/dl and PP is 150 mg/dl. So is it ok or i need to improve it?? I m 55 years old.

Hi,

See the following:

1) If you have been not diagonised with Diabetes untill now then suggesst to go for one more test +OGTT if same numbers (FBS > 100, PP >140) is seen then you are diabetic, cut carb excercise

2) If you have been already diagnoised as diabetic then this allmost a good control, you can do better with reducing carbs, excercise.

Fbs should be less than 100. Bs should never cross 140. Go for 1 hr pp. 2Hr pp of 150 is a bit high. you can Get good control of sugar now.

Firstly get lab reports done to know your D status. Then the management can be planned.

if you are below 60 yrs old, that might need some management. if you are 60 or above... the reading is pretty ok.
