If you're over 140 two hour after eating, you're likely prediabetic or diabetic. A normal person would likely be 100 or less. The higher you are over a 100, the likely you are slowly being affected by insulin resistance.

It's much more important to have your fasting insulin levels checked. Not your A1C or current blood sugar reading. Tell your doctor you want to know if you're secreting a normal amount of insulin before eating and after. If you discover you have even a 90 sugar level yet, your insulins are too high to maintain this great blood sugar level it truly means you are a person that over time will likely develop diabetes.

The only way to slow this today via diet to my knowledge is to start a LCHF diet now, so that you don't have to do it to avoid high blood sugars in the future...

Thanks. I was informed in my diabetic clinic that sugar level have to be between 7.0 and 10.0 ,2 hrs after dinner, and 5.0 and 7.00 before Breakfast. This is Canadian Reading. Multiply this by 18 to get US reading.
