Has anybody done this? One of the Diabetes clinics had contacted me for a 3 day monitoring of sugar. It would be nice to know our readings every minute of the day as most take the same kinds of foods. They mentioned a charge of Rs 4000.
Would appreciate all your comments.

I find no useful purpose to be served by continuous monitoring for three days.Battle against diabetes is a long term affair and continuous and regular monitoring is required as long as one is diabetic, that means for ever.
I do not know much about it. But I feel the need of knowing my glucose reading more often because I have erratic readings eg my sugar is OK at the 2 hour mark but very high at the 4 hour mark. Since it monitors the readings throughout the day and night we can have a good idea of how our readings react to our foods, snacks, sleep etc
Please visit dexcom.com. They even have an Indian site.
Unfortunately the price is a bit steep but may be worth it.
I use the DEXCOM CGM G4 Platinum with Share. It has helped me for over a year and some months, now. With Blue Cross Blue Shield, I pay $50 for each part. Without insurance, it would be more. Please see postings I've done about the DEXCOM at: healthunlocked.com/drwfdiab...
for more details and information on a regular basis. I try to post once a week about the progress I'm making by using the system.
Thanks Anup! No I dont eat anything after 2 hours.
I never thought of it but it is quite possible that I have Gastroparesis. It has started only after I added fats to my diet so I am very concerned. I will look up the symptoms but I dont feel uneasy or anything though I do have constipation due to too few carbs intake.
I eat only a tea cup of rice and dal that too brown rice. Do you think I should stop it? I will try. Sorry, the attachment sent was not very useful because Point 9 talks of hypoglycemia? Did you mean to send something else? Thanks again for your mail.
