Diabetes is not just about sweets. It is about diabetics not being able to handle carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are biggest enemy of a diabetic so the same has to be restricted. This is where LCHF diet works like charm. Globally there are millions of diabetics on this diet for decades only to prove that High Carb Low Fat diet is most horrible diet that can ever be recommended to a diabetic. Just because ADA/AMA/AHA says it doesn't make it good. Their diet has only caused serious health issues like obesity, diabetes, cancer, cvd/chd to name a few.

if 400+ Indians have switched to LCHF and benefited with far better control on much lower drugs or even zero drugs, LCHF cannot be bad. Here's my own experience on both HIGH CARB LOW FAT and then LOW CARB HIGH FAT:

Every diabetic should have a monthly check up with the diabetolgist with FS PPS readings and follow his/her advice..my request don't deviate from ur regular food

Actually diabetics should be monitoring their PPBS at home regularly, more than relying on once a month blood tests in lab.
