Has anybody tried "Harit Madhupani Vanaspati" treatment for diabetes. It is an Aurvedic treatment. The treatment is to consume one leaf of Madhuparni (Stevia) plant besides capsule and powder made from the leaves of the same plant. Please share your experience.

Stevia is available as a sweetner and that frankly has no bearing when you consume it in your coffee/tea etc. So I haven't heard any benefits as a remedy for Diabetes. It's a better sweetner in comparison to using Splenda or aspartame given their chemical composition and a lot of negative media publicity.

Yes, someone please give an answer to this post. I would be interested in knowing more. Stevia in different forms but all from the same plant. Are there truly any added significant benefits?
