Diabetes & high BP

my wife was taking I STAMET 50/1000 twice daily(after Break fast & after Dinner). Although FBS & PPBS was within limits of 110 to 125. But after one year she started getting headache & stomach pain as well as shivering which increased the anxiety level & increase in BP.

Now doctor has changed it to DIAMICRON-MR- 30mg initially one tab 1/2 hr before Breakfast & after 2 weeks increased it to twice daily e.g. one tab before Breakfast & one before Dinner.

But sugar level is FBS 150 TO 180 & PPBS is 170 to 180, however by LUNCH time it comes to 120 level & by dinner time it is 100 to 110.

Now itt is more than a month sugar level is yet to come under control.

My QUERRY is whether high FBS IS OK OR NOT if not then what is the remedy?
