How to controll BS
consult your Doc. change in medication can help reduce your BS.
Of course it is. Rely primarily on your doctor for information since we don't know your condition and most of of us are not doctors. That said, you can get valuable information by reading as many earlier posts as possible.
Diabetes is not a disease, it's only a condition that can be controlled by juggling three things: food, exercise and medication.
Your first line of attack should be food. You are truly what you eat. Drastically reduce carbohydrates (rice, wheat, oats, millets...). Load up instead on vegetables (except tubers) and focus on 'watery' vegetables such as cucumbers, ash gourd, bitter gourd.
Other things that will help -- but only marginally -- are such things as bitter gourd/karela/pavakkai (Mormodica charantia), jamun seed powder (Sizygium jambolanum), Fenugreek/Venthiyam/Methi one tspn before each meal, neem leaves, curry leaves, garlic.
The second thing is daily exercise. Exercise daily for at least 30 min and definitely practice some form of stress-reduction system such as meditation, pranayama, yoga nidra (stress is a major problem among diabetics).
The last should be medication, for which your doctor alone will be of help.
I would strongly suggest that you buy a glucometer and test daily one hour and two hours after each meal. Write down detailed notes on what you ate, time, your mental state. Do this for three weeks. You'll see which foods help you lower the readings. Eat those more often.
Stay healthy and enjoy life!
I agree with Mr. Krishnangs comments as above, but would liketo add that your BS level is controllable. For this you can try Daaru Haldi, its available as bark of certain tree. Take 3-4pieces about 2 inches long & half an inch wide, keep these in a glass tumbler filled with water nightlong. Drink this water before breakfast. Keep the pieces covered till evening, again fill water in the tumbler & use it next morning. These 3-4 pieces will last for about 4-5 days or till its taste lasts. Keep checking your BS regularly so that it does not fall below limits, as low BS is dangerous. As the BS keeps falling, reduce the number of pieces or their size gradually. Hopefully, you may not have to use medicines, thereafter.
Rajdeep Singh:
I have managed to bring down A1C from 11.6% to 6.0% in six months. It perhaps could have been faster if I had used drugs (4 doctors recommended Metformin/Glucophage). I took the first 250 mg tablet, whilst partying, after my average blood sugar had come down to 126 from 250 i.e. six months after I was diagnosed diabetic.
I have put my diet plan in this platform twice. However, I'd like to advise you that I recently read about successes where people have done better than me e.g. brought down from 13.5% to 5.5% in three months without medicine. efar52@gmail.com

Go to a doctor and he will probably ask for you for a glucose tolerance test by takeing 100grams glucose powder with water. If it is confirmed that you are diabetic then follow LCHF diet. But do follow exercise and pranayam for 30 minutes. You can take 500 mg metaformin tablet initially under Doctor's supervision.I feel that you will not require medicine after 3 months. All the best .Thanks.
