I am 54 year old . diabetic since 11 years . on insulin since two years . Was using Insuman combo 15 +12 units . Sugar was in control but six months back I fell down and fractured my tibia and fibula . doctor told me my sugar was more than 330 . I was shocked . it was in 102 and 160 range fbp and pp. He prescribed nivarapid 30 + 30 +30.

Sugar never came down since 6 months.

Changed medicines . actrapid 26 and 24 and night novomix 30, fasting is 111 but pp is 260, 280,, 420!!

Hi @suramo,

This is in response to an earlier suggestion to me to monitor microalbuminurea, as my Creatinine had crossed 1.0. I am glad to state that making my water intake systematic brought Creat in line with in three months. Thank you for the concern and caution.

Good. But still I would like if you get microalbuminura done. At least you would know if your kidneys have micro damage or not

Recently there was awritten complaint to concerned authority by a patient about the problem of Insulin injections not reducing BS as anticipated. In a related TV news a doctor said that she too had submitted to authority a complaint because BS of her patient did not respond to Ins inj. The authority spokesperson said that they don't have facility to test Insulin, for more than one reason; one being that they have full faith in the certificate that accompany supplies!!!

If patients have ample resources and enjoy the process of taking injections, why should anyone bother? Let BS go to hell!

No bro. They have wandered off the track. They need sympathy and right guidance. We are not dictators. We can't force anyone to do what we say . They need our help. Please don't get angry on them.

I was releasing my frustration on the irresponsible stand of Govts, health authorities & Govt owned drug testing laboratories.

A colleague had given me a book, to read, titled "DEATH BY PRESCRIPTION"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Insulin worsens Diabetes even if it lowers BS. It is the case with all medications. They increase fat deposit and insulin resistance.

Go for LCHF and IF. It works.
