Refrigerate both boiled and fried rice? Can refrigerated rice be heated before consuming?

I read several posts on this platform that suggested to refrigerate rice with a view to reduce BS spike. Somehow, my above questions were not addressed in those posts. In fact I could not find them when I searched for it. efar52@gmail.com

This is related to Resistant Stanch. When rice is cooked and cooled for 8-12 hours it forms RS. If rice is heated prior to consumption the RS will be converted to normal starch and there won't be any benefit from eating reheated rice. The RS acts similar to soluble fibre.

Thank you Shrisamarth. I guess Resistant Starch equally applies to both boiled rice and fried rice such as Biryani or Chinese Rice.

Yes, you can do the experiment with any of the rice preparations. I had better nos. with fried rice.
