Twice I put up my daily diet quota cum life-style data on this platform (Diabetes India/ Health Unlocked) because my A1C score came down from 11.6%, without drugs, to 6.0% in a six month period.
Recently I have had occasion to read about people who have done much better than me! (from 13.5% to 5.2% in three months)

If you adopt high starch low fat vegan diet ,metabolic rate is reduced and diabetes not only controlled but cured. It is claimed by many.

Carbs includes simple sugars, whereas starch are only very complex ,branching long chain sugars. It also includes resistant starches. Yes it is high carb.
High "digestible" starch is HIGH CARB. It's a myth that complex carbs will help to an extent that they can move A1C down to 5% club range. It simply cannot. One common sense question is if it does help by slow absorption then what happens to calorie count. If much of it passes undigested where does the calorie come from? I know they will say calorie counting is useless but they are wrong on that count also.
If it is LOW FAT, it has to be High Carb, call it whatever one would want to, simple or complex carbs makes no difference and that's why they couldn't even get their insulin shots down by even 10% or even go below 5.6 A1C.

It is high fat which kills. Low fat and starch vegan diet which controls and ultimately cures many chronic diseases including diabetes 2 as claimed by many. There are a few who try to dump and impose their idea on others without even coming out with any valid explanation ans a healthy open minded fair discussion. Forum is open to all sorts of views whether one likes it or not. Dictators react violently to ideas other than their own,it is said.
No high fat doesn't kill on low carb and there are 72 studies to prove that fat is not killing. You dumped and attack LCHF even without trying and when you say dictators you sound like one when you attack LCHF. Why don't you share your diet , numbers and drugs like anup on LCHF did years back here? Moment you use terms like "Dictator" you are displaying your "Violent" side.
Those who "attack" and ABUSE others in person are more violent -- example you and indiacratus. You picked on me right on the first day here and indiacratus challenged that he will get me blocked in few days. So it really shows who is the dictator here. At least look at what even others say about you two. If you guys/gals cannot digest success of LCHF there can be nothing more close minded than this, although you preach open mindedness here.
I admire persistence. Dodda paneer . But I do not admire persistence sufficiently to jeopardise my health consuming unknown flora.

Yes. Metabolic rate can be managed through foods, but more through exercise and toning up or building muscles.
A sedentary life, sitting all day in the artificial light of your work station and then relaxing before the TV can kill you.
