Assuming you not eating before and after workout or exceptions like Dawn Phenomenon then you need to test it regularly if its just one time affair or its frequent and if this readings are taken in the morning or evening are u on meds ? its a vague question u need to provide some more inputs like what is your diet pattern and how much carbs and meds you are on daily basis and keep testing it regularly , workout in any form will decrease BS levels without even a doubt so workout has nothing to do with this so now we need to rule out Meds and Carbs tolerance for that you need to give us some details ! .
One reason could be that you are severely insulin resistant or deficient or you counter regulatory hormones are in action. So exercise is causing liver to dump extra sugar. Test without doing any weight exercises.
But for any conclusions other details are needed.
In my opinion when u excercised your body tired and it used the insulain already in your partsof the body liver or from fat itself This is only temprorary time after your tiredness is gone half an hour it may comes down or if u drink one or two glass of water ( excercise complete after 20 minutes ) it is the possibalities of lower the above numbers
similarily when u are fast then also your body consuing the glucosewithin the body at tattime if u test ur sugar level is also in raising number
If you remember, some time back medfree had long offensive discussion with me on the subject.I had said that after vigorous excercise or work out bs will rise. The reason is simple, more strenuous the work out more sugar is needed to compensate the energy requirement. It quite normal and nothing to worry. But die hards won't agree to it,a pity !
Dear Indiacratus ,I am so sorry but but I am not familiar with the term alpha, beta bridge, can you elaborate.I am familiar with tyrosine kinase.
You are free to write any thing you like.As I always maintained things get twisted in this forum.
Some people take energy drinks during exercise. I hope u are not doing so.
My Fasting blood sugar level increased after work out, it is around 110 to 120 fasting and after work out 1.5 hours it is 150 to 160 ..Why it is increased, in workout I do 20 minutes brisk walk + running about 2.8 kms and rest is exercise with weight what is the reason ...I am very much concerned to know that. My dight routine and medicine are as under:
My work out time is 5 AM to 6.30 AM I will check my FBS about 3 times in a week about at 7AM, after work out will take about 12 almond with tea. I am taking medicine one tab Azulix 2 MF Forte - (Metformin Hyd. 1000 mg + Glimepiride 2 mg) before breakfast and one after dinner and one tab Istavel - (sitagliptin 100 mg) daily after breakfast, in breakfast I will take some fruits (which are advisable for diabitics)+ 2 light chapati with seasonal veg. + one glass milk and my PPBS is around 170 to 190, while randam in evening is around 130 to 145. One thing also like to inform you that I did work out 5 days in a week on rest days my FBS is not increased it is around 120.
You are on high dose of medicines and you are consuming high carb diet. Reduce your carb intake and replace it with equivalent calories of protein and fat.
Your lever dumping can be minimised when your BS levels are in control.
Thanks, but I will not comment.
My Height is 5.11+ and weight is 82 KG
I think that before you work out you will have taken food already? else, if you are working out before any intake, it might not be a good idea since you might not have energy to carry out physical regimen... if you have taken food before work out but after fbs, it is indeed expected to go up...
