Dear med free running and walking is in one's genes .i am an ex marathon ,10000 meters 5000 mtrs cross country and 3000 mtrs steeple chase runner in the Indian navy . My colleagues used to call me academy horse. Still I became a diabetic .bcos I have a family history.similarly my father was also a militaryman a very good runner and at 45 he also became T2 diabetic. Running and walking is in my blood if I do not walk /jog I feel restless and find something is missing. Do not wait for your son to grow .he will grow and will get settled at his own.You do your bit and the rest he will do.start walking at least a km per day alone and you will develop the interest and will see for yourself it's advantage. My BP is 102/80 .it is because I do jogging cum walking for one hour daily..
It is very good that your. BP is normal . And being on LCHF you have become medfree. I am on LCHF since 14 February and I am able to discard two medicines one is Glynase and the other pioglitazone . It for your info that when I was having Glynase I used to itching on my lower legs but now that is no more. Climbing stairs is a very exercise I used to when I was at visakhapatnam. A1C in February was 8.5 .it is coming down.this time it is 7. Still very high I feel. I eat very less compared to my earlier diet. I shall stop taking fruit I think. I was taking water melon one piece or musk melon one piece. For the last one week I was taking about ten jamuns . One small piece o f mango. I share with my wife who does not eat unless I take a piece of it.
Dear i am taking nuts and no allergy now. This was because of Glynase and pio I think. After my jog&a walk in the evening at about 7 pm I take one cup of green tea 20 pieces of groundnut and one piece of amul cheese .
