For your age and weight, such cases are very rare. Please give the latest report values of blood sugar, Fasting and PP.

Hi,

Then the doctor is not genuine, my daughter is affected by type 1 for more than 4 years, She used to check min of thrice a day and HB1C 3 months once and other standard test 3 months once. Also you we used to adjust the insulin by putting the CGMS for 3/4days to verify the fluctuations. Pls change the doctor

There are many doctors who really do not understand diabetes. Get a good endocrinologist who is easily accessible and a short distance from your home. You have no time to waste. Good diet and timely dose of insulin surely enhaces your well being.

I am a diabetic for 17years and now 70.My doctor was a professor in a Government medical college and taught for senior (MS) students.I had a small wound in my foot.He advised me simple ointment and every time (Monthly)I visit him he used to prescribe the same medicine ie Glucored Forte 850 1+1 The sugar levels were normal as long I was tested in his lab.But one day my foot swelled and I had to undergo surgery for septic wound. The speciality clinic where I underwent treatment (Which is entirely different one)They told me that the medicine taken for a long time did not have effect on me which your doctor failed to note .Even though I had selected a well known doctor my fate played there.

If the doctor is a professor teaching MS in India, clearly means he is a surgeon and not an endocrinologist. So there goes your wisdom.

Hi,

I think you should change your doctor.By the way,in which city you are residing?I can suggest you a good doctor if you happen to stay in navi mumbai.I am now much better than what i was about 18 months back.My sugar levels are completely under control and now relieved from neuropathy also.Considering your age,you have to be very careful and take proper care.Try to change your diet.Eat oats and chappatis and give rice completely.

Changing the diet really is of little use if you do not keep the count of calories. Everything rather a balanced diet is most important along with a periodic check with endocrinologist.

I disaagree with mujtabahmed . I don't think he knows what diet you take.

For type 1 diabetes, it always help to take more than one opinion from different doctors. Finally, you are your own doctor. Read as much as ou can, join as many forums on diabetes as you can. Know your body, plan out your diet and medicines. Remember, you are your best doctor.
