If any member is found khapli gahu (Long wheat) in Mumbai .pls tell others .I cant found.

Please understand Jau is barley and ghevu is wheat. Jau and ghevu are two different grains. The long wheat is a type of wheat which is longer and reddish in color than any other variety of wheat. In marathi, it is also called lal ghevu or khapli ghevu.

Dear Mr. Cool, you are loosing your cool. Please read my aforementioned comments again. Jau is not wheat and the cure Mr. George is talking about is not with Jau but with wheat. Boiled barley water is very effective in the treatment of increasing output of urination, if at all anyone is suffering with scant urine..

Mr George has suggested for long wheat, and some of the patients have purchased the same from the markets at Bangalore and Trivandrum and they had posted the photos of the the long wheat. The name of the variety of wheat mentioned on the packets (purchased from the supermarket from Bangalore) was mentioned as 'Jawa Wheat'. I inquired with couple of grain merchants in the Mumbai suburb, but I could not find the said variety.

In the packet shown may pilled off jau yes there is quality off long wheat red in color.

If long wheat is jau then in english jau is barley, but why does long wheat looks so different than barley. Long wheat looks more darker and long and barley looks lighter smaller and chubbier. Please clarify if anyone knows. In Canada I could not find anything looks like long wheat pictures which people have posted.

Hi liverane,

In store houses like those of Food Corporation of India (FCI) very high dose of insecticides are sprayed on the grains to protect from pests. I know many people around me taking wheat directly from shop to mill for grinding to powder. Then all the residual insecticide will mix with the powder & get consumed. I do not mean that you are doing this or that you are not cleaning properly. What I mean is that in general this is a possibility for allergy.

In my experience most harmless allergies will die out, once our body get used to the input. If you want to try, start with SMALL quantity & gradually increase to required volume over a few days or weeks.

Keep reporting & asking. Other members may be interested to know the outcome; myself is interested to know.

In my case a doctor specialised in allergy tested with 45 imported antigens and conclude the result. In fact he informed that people eat with out knowing which one does not suit them and at a later stage they are affected by BP and or BS.

I am allergic to wheat, Potato, orange, and Citrus and fruits fruits,votes. woollen and house dust and mite. I took in good quantity and observed to know that the doctor was right . I got sneezing or loose motion due to indigestion.Just because the long wheat seems to be slightly different with power to cure Pancreas i would like to have opinion wit any of the members of the forum.
