my ring finger&last finger of both palms are facing difficulty to fold(freely).Is it due to my diabetes?

I am a diabetes mellitus type 2 patient since jan 2009. Taking treatment from the beginning. Except 2-3 times the sugar level checked was <120mg/dl.Feeling well. Since last six months, I am facing difficulty to fold my ring finger&last finger,especially at the morning time when I wake up. After 2-3 minutes gel-ball exercise the problem diminishes.But not completely ok.To which dr. I have to consult? Neuro/ortho/diabetologist? Is due to diabetes?

It may not be due to diabetes because you have not been a diabetic for long.Why don't you ask your diabetes doctor only as to which specialist to be consulted.
