When we eat saturated fat it has some amount of cholestrol also.If a person is on LCHF diet and taking 100 gms carbo /day and to replenish calorie if he is taking 1oo grams of saturated fat also.what will be the effect of this cholestrol on CVD.

Whether saturated fat is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a question with numerous controversial views. Although most in the mainstream heart-health, government, and medical communities hold that saturated fat is a risk factor for CVD, some recent studies have produced conflicting results.

Butter contains 81 grams of fat out of which 51 grams contains saturated fat.

A review of the medical literature published in 2012 noted that: "Cheese consumption is the leading contributor of SF (saturated fat) in the U.S. diet, and therefore would be predicted to increase LDL-C (LDL cholesterol) and consequently increase the risk of CVD (cardiovascular disease)."

I am of opinion that low carbohydrate high protein diet may be preferred over low carbohydrate high fat diet.
