en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satur...

" A 2010 meta-analysis of 21 studies examined the effects of dietary saturated fat intake and found that ″there is no significant evidence for concluding that dietary saturated fat is associated with an increased risk of CHD or CVD".

I am not an expert if you look into fat then you find many types / forms of fat like saturated fats Polyunsaturated fats Monounsaturated fats but still the Docs recommend to avoid fats ADA guidelines which just want people to eat more meds and more carbs and their business running and booming ,its already been discussed here in this very forum about it , the difference between fats is just a way of telling which fat is good or bad well personally even when i heard about eating fats is actually GOOD provided i need to cut down Carbs was surprising but Doc won't admit it so we all getting confused over this and keep avoiding the fats but keep increasing the intake of carbs and never been told to restrict them , that's the wake-up call for me when i too get diagnosed with BS ONLY LCHF diet helped me .

anyhow about smart carbs ( well i don't know if its just a fancy name for eat smartly carb ? :) ) but there is complex carbs which u get mostly from Vegetables with fibers in it so those won't spike much your bs levels and keep them in manageable levels for me those are smart carbs .

Good Answer Ninjarao But can u clarify following

LCHF diet programme is good Generally well expert Doctors also says that u must minimise the quantity of carba from Grains like wheat ragi jowar orRice or any this type of carb. Yes carbohydrate immediately given strength to body and also blood sugar increases because it contain more carbohydrate. Generally Wheat Ragi Rice jowar all having carbohydrate of 7o gms from 100 gma of quantity with 335 calories . If u use semicarbohydrate like Bengal gram ( or round ) or Moong Dal (or round ) togaridal all having some quantity of carbohydrate is less but it contain good and high protien alos doctors advised to use plenty of green vegitables and soured fruits.

But question of using high fat and virgin coconut oil and dry fruits

Which are good fats for the BS or HBP persons how much of quantity may be taken per day.

Ghee Almond peanut wall nut dry dates dry grapes may be used if so how much quantity may be taken because it has high fat but also high calories for example approximate 100 gmas of Nuts having 600 calories.

Further how much quantity of Pannet and virgin coconut oil u may used Whether Vco may be used directly or how to used whether with roti or chapathi ?

Please clarify Further I am also seen so many blogs and google searces but actually all google searches were not completely accurate but it is most of articles is written persons own opinion.

Please clarify what u know frankly Thanks

Nataraj : i am telling you my own story ( may or may not apply to everyone ) my journey started two month ago so i am relatively new and still learning , i shown to two doc both said eat less ( not avoid carbs ) i have a history with HBP and sugar even spike Blood pressure which i was not even aware or been told so when i diagnosed with HBP then no doc ever said to limit carbs or sugar but told me to avoid salts and why it happened coz i been living a sedentary lifestyle or its in genes so remedy is Meds then i kept on eating high carb and low fat diet i also been diagnosed with HBS then also they told me to do the same but eat less and second doc wanted me to wait for 3 moths for h1bac and first one wanted me to start insulin that time FBS was 150 and PPB was 230 well i came here and Medfree and others helped me with a good LCHF diet and today i am running FBS 90-100 PPB 110-120 i check daily so it works .

honestly i don't count calories since it will be difficult for me to count and maintain for a longer period i needed something simpler and doable approach since i know if u make it complicated then after some point of time you won't able to maintain same routine , now about calories i take them liberally since i cut down my carbs ( no rice or roti ) no fast foods no form of cereals ( oats or dalia ) i eat sabzi 40 g mix with buttermilk for lunch and eggs for morning and dinner ( if i don't take them then i mix n match with sabzi kahdi added ghee etc ) in between i eat peanuts eggs with cheese and butter also almost daily 3 or 2 with yoke so in terms of calories its on the upper side but carbs has to be on lower side ( <100g ) so far its working for me , since i am not taking VCO , now about daily limits No one can decided for you it entirely depends upon many factors so let this guessing thing should be eliminated with Cardiac Risk Markers or Lipid profile tests in 3 months and repeat again 3 months in terms of holistic picture u able to make if diet increasing or decreasing levels i feel that is more practical way of seeing things accordingly u tweak ( exercises , dietary control or meds ) .

yes U may maintain your health as the same way. Whether u check the blood resault in frequent time ? What is your height wt and Bmi However BMI may different peson to person and forWWF players and sports man they were seen to be thin but their wt isgrat and BMI is more than generally 25 But as Indian generation and mostly most of them or not doing hardwork and only moderate worktheir BMI must be within 25 it may variable from 3 to 4 months .

Further what is your state What is SABJI I am in karnataka Bangalore I did not heard it Here wheat ragi jowar and rice used chapati roti upama idli dosa and dals kichad or usli done here whether u or vegitaraian or NON ? Thanks

as its been said sabzi ( Palliya in Kannada ) i am from Karnataka too from parent side i been bought up in Delhi well as i said i am new to LCHF my Blood check is due so will update my results when i do them and will check them regularly , i said in terms for reference point of view if u are on LCHF then you may be concerned with Lipids so best way to tweak your diet insync with reports accordingly my BMI is 24 i am Veg but take eggs , i too a rice eater Dosa , Idli , sambar etc are something i grew with eating but now no rice or rice products or wheat in my diet ( some exceptions but then i try to keep them limited and try my reading <140 ) so i eat Palliya made with anything but Potato and less tomato with majige ( buttermilk ) and eggs i eat otherwise daily ( excepts Tuesdays ) and peanuts for munching so far so good keeping your eye on carbs is the only way out for strict control and i am on no meds for BS :) hope this helps !.
