Sir, Both Sugar and BP are highly troubling deceases. It can be controlled with meticulously diet planning and strict life style disciple, which absolutely essential for the patient's welfare as well as the well being / happiness of the family members. Since if any member of the family is ill the whole family gets disturbed in many ways. Following disciple in life for any patient is very difficult but THAT IS THE ONLY ANSWER. Pl following accurate medicine schedule as well as diet plan as suggested by you Diabetologist. Hope you will agree with me and try to look after yourself exactly on your Doctor's advice, and I think every thing will be OK soon. Best wishes for your HEALTH AND HAPPLY LIFE for you and your family. Yours.... CA Ashok K Guptq

As far as I know for carrying out urgent surgical procedures diabetes can & is usually controlled by insulin administration. Similar is the case for BP.FBS & PPBS high means how much. When one ask in such forums please be specific with numbers. One may think 200 is high which is true but another may think 200 is not high because he/she may have 250 or 300!

When BS & BP are not under control no dentist will extract a tooth even if there is infection because complications may come up.

The text below is a "COPY&PASTE STUFF" from my previous replies to some others.

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN IT, KINDLY IGNORE THIS.

Diabetes is a fundamental disorder. It is comparable with low voltage in an electric circuit. In both cases all connected subsystems will under-perform and will fail in due course. It will affect SEX life also, if diab is not contained. Diab impairs the glucose (SUGAR) & oxygen supply to ALL CELLS of the patient. You cannot compensate the resultant weakness with liquor, food or medicines.

A DIABETES PATIENT (also known as A DIABETIC) need NOT starve. PROPER or APPROPRIATE food can be eaten EVEN FULL STOMACH THRICE DAILY! Try to understand diabetes & conquer it.

TAKING MEDICINES ALONE WILL NOT BRING DOWN BLOOD SUGAR ALWAYS. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR FOOD HABITS & LIFE STYLE ALSO TEMPORARILY TILL CURE.

While following the Long-wheat diet explained in the article referred below, non-vegetarians can have MEAT/FISH/EGG in moderate quantities as side-dishes/curries.

I was diabetic from 2006; but NOT diabetic from 2009. I studied Diabetes thoroughly, because it was to solve MY problem.

Do you want to see my experience and blood sugar history from 2006 to 2013? Those are reported at: appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... If you want only MODUS OPERANDI, GO TO appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel...

Excellent and very inspiring. The wheat dish that you ate, isn't it similar to Daliya as what we call in North, or Upma?
