Honey is nothing concentrated sugar with little moisture and having several health benefits.You have to treat it as you would treat sugar.

Do not eat at all:--

Sugar, jam, syrups, honey, sweets, chocolates, fruit juices, ice creams, cold drinks, glucose drinks, cakes and pastries, sweet biscuits, puddings and protein powder with sugar.

Hello,

honey contains both fructose and glucose and proportion varies based on the source, having honey with high fructose ( more than 50%) is more preferred, however in India we have not seen a low G I honey, hence keeping away is more safer if B S are high and struggling to manage.

You can use protein powder. Doctors prescribe D-protein powder for diabetic patients.
