Having more ragi and maize in your food

Friends, I wish to share my experience with you. By including ragi and maize products in my daily diet with normal regular medicines for diabetis, there is no feeling of hunger and even my sugar levels have come down. Is there any scientific reason for this

They have complex carbohydrate, which is good for keeping sugar level under check.

I think Ragi is good because there is not much processing involved before it is consumed and you are eating the whole grain,fiber and all.Whereas,maize or corn unless it is eaten as buttas,undergoes lot of processing and what we ultimately eat is pure starch
