The steroid with zytiga can be a deal
My Dads new oncologist switched his steroid from prednisolone to
dexamethasone
- she was distressed at first appointment to see he was on zytiga and prednisolone. She said research pretty clear that
dexamethasone
is better. On today's PSA results she is clearly correct.

Aqueous shunt implant surgery
Not sure it's a side effect of
dexamethasone
or due to the impact of retinal detachment surgery itself. So far I tried the following without results: 1. Stopped
dexamethasone
for a week after the retinal team were happy with the progress. 2.

In addition, she has been prescribed 2mg daily
dexamethasone
steroids. I'm wondering what is the difference between this drug and prednisolone?

He’s now on

Side Effects Pt 2
My question now is, 4 months after surgery he is still using steroid drops 4 times a day, although they say that might be what is driving the pressure up, they talked about weaning him off but nothing definite was decided, what is the point of acetazolamide if
dexamethasone
is still being administered

Trabeculectomy failed … 5 bleb needlings 3 in last 6 weeks . Ophthalmic surgeon recommends aqueous flow shunt very soon.
My body will probably heal shunt surgery in same way as it did trap door of trab .I have had very large amounts of
dexamethasone
for more than a year . I will go blind without the op .

Good bye and good luck to you all !
I now have a major daily drug intake including
dexamethasone
(which replaces the parked 5mg maintenance prednisolone!) As I say goodbye I want to thank this site and those who have given me such wonderful support.

How did your Docetaxel rechallenge compare to your original chemo treatment?
This time he's getting
dexamethasone
, which he didn't last time. Does that replace Neulasta, which he did get at the time of infusion? He's going to ask about that. Mr. Spouse was 75 at the end of his first 10 infusions which resulted in 4 years of stability.

Prednisolone/PMR - Hysteroscopy
I heard the anaesthetist say, well she's going to have
dexamethasone
anyway. Thursday morning, I felt absolutely fine, which in retrospect, might be related to the amount of morphine I had the day before. Yesterday, I was absolutely wiped out and slept for much of the day and didn't do a lot.

Fenbendazole
He has been tinkering with different hormonal regimes, abiraterone and enzalutamide, without benefit, and has just progressed to start taking
dexamethasone
and is considering trying fenbendazole. I would be interested to hear of other peoples experience of fenbendazole ?

Timing of Docetaxel
Not my first choice as I think there might be interim steps which could be effective, eg: 1/ zap (SABR) the left hip joint to get rid of the discomfort, also zap the hyoid. 2/ change from Prednisolone to
Dexamethasone
to get more out of Zytiga. 3/ if (2) fails, move to Xtandi.

Steroids and Radium 223
While he was on abiraterone he was taking 2mgs of
dexamethasone
, although 1mg for the last month. He’s currently taking 6mgs of prednisilone but our question is does he need to be steroid free before he can have radium 223?

More to deal with. Early birthday gift I guess.
Caught it in time for medications, Paxlovid and
Dexamethasone
. Worst SE metallic taste all the time. Better than loss of all taste. I can overcome mettle mouth while eating savory food. Do have more the 2 gallons of soup my friends and neighbors have left for me.
