I have found that I am very sensitive to B vitamins and I am not able to tolerate taking long term of B - complex or some of its combinations as homocysteine formulas.. What makes me sick is Folic Acid, no matter if methylated or no, I have difficulty to breathe and weakness, heard arhytmias, which vanishes away 1-2 days I go off.I was taking the recomended dosage (low) b-complex for few days and due to the worsening of my symptoms had to take a break for few days and start over again and again...I am now also confused about the B1 - now I don't know what is caused by B1 OD or other B vits sensitivity...So I am thinking of taking the next steps:1,after 7 days of no Bs restarting from the scratch with even lower dosage as 1/4 of the recommended B - complex daily and see if I am able tolerate it for 2 weeks. (or is better keep the same dosage and take it 2 x a week?)
...if so adding B1 under tongue at 25 mg/3 x week , monitoring the symptoms closely ...

And what about supplement extra b6 P5P- as I am on the high dosage of C/L )? When would be the best time to implement?
And finally: riboflavin, biotin?any thoughts 🧐
As I had very positive reaction on B1 at the beginning I am sure B1 is going to work for me,but before that it needs to be finetuned...
I have genetic tests done @ 23andme so you can recommend any helpful tools to interpret it ...
Folic acid supplementation Is carcinogenic so you are not missing anything by avoiding it. Seeking Health offers a B complex without folate or B12, called B Minus. I take it and supplement B12 separately.
“Refeeding syndrome can happen when someone who has been malnourished begins feeding again. If food is introduced too quickly, it can cause serious complications. This happens because of the ways our bodies change when they are deprived of nutrients. When we begin refeeding, they have to change back, but they may not have the resources they need.”
If that is the case then a balanced multinutrient with minerals and micronutrients might be a good thing to try starting at a low dose and building up slowly. My husband found Hardys daily essential nutrients with added vitamers helps and I now also have my son who has adhd and ocd tendencies on it and it has really helped him too.
also do you drink a lot of coffee or have a lot of dark chocolate? Caffein can cause these sensations.
If you want to try a herbal try rhodiola rosea. This helps with anxious feelings.
Are you taking levodopa or antidepressants? If so it is possible as you heal with the vitamins you are becoming overdosed on the drugs, particularly with SSRIs. You might be able to very slowly wind back the dosage of these types of meds. If you do, make small changes and wait a week before assessing if you are better or worse.
Have you had your homocysteine, b12 and folate levels tested in your blood.? That would be a good idea to see if you are deficient or well over normal.
