I just recently read some interesting studies that suggest HRT could help us PD people with our symptoms? I know for some HRT is controversial. And maybe I am at the point of desperation, but should I just be asking my GP for an HRT patch?
Have any of you had any experience with HRT. Is one delivery system better than another? Are we missing testosterone or estrogen? Have any of you investigated this topic?

I have wondered ever since my diagnosis last year whether my early menopause had something to do with this.
My PD symptoms came on during perimenopause. Bioidentical oestrogen and progesterone seem to help me. I've never had my levels checked but it seems to work at the moment.

interesting you bring this up. I was just at the doctor earlier this week, and my estrogen levels are low. I’m 51. She starting me on an estrogen cream. She thinks this will help me feel better. I was diagnosed at age 49. We will see. I’ll let you know in 3 to 6 months if there’s any improvement.
Unfortunately I need to take a medication that suppresses estrogen for another 32 months having a history of estrogen dependent breast cancer. It’s difficult to determine whether my stiff joints, neck and shoulder pain and sleep disturbances are caused by PD, the side effects of the cancer medication or just osteoarthritis due to age. I’m 76 and I hope to manage these symptoms with exercise and acceptance. I’m so grateful to have made it this far.

I have been dx w/ PD for ~15 yrs & subsequently had DBS a yr ago. I have been using testosterone injections for several months and decided to see if I can get my insurance to pay for the treatments. Therefore, I have to be off exogenous testosterone for 3 weeks and provide an AM blood sample to measure T. In the meantime (while T is dropping), I have been experiencing much brain fog, apathy, loss of muscle mass and no energy (I get tired just looking at something). In my case, I believe HRT to be more beneficial than taking antidepressants (and w/o the side effects...wink, wink, nudge, nudge). I have an apt. to have blood levels checked for low-T next week.

THere are some youtubes out there that talk about estradiol in post menopausal women and how estradiol also improved urge incontinence. my gyno is on board with that and i will give it s shot.
