Here's PROOF our VITAMINS are POISONING us!

If you've followed my "vitamin posts" the last 2 months you know that I'm involved with a Florida law firm which is preparing to file a lawsuit against several Amazon vitamin sellers for... FRAUDULENTLY claiming their supplements are: "MADE IN THE USA."

TODAY I got this reply from one of the vitamin sellers on Amazon ...

I know lots of members here are using the B1 vitamin protocol of Dr. Constantini.

Well this Amazon seller's product is called: BENFOTIAMINE which is a B1 vitamin that can cross the blood brain barrier.

Clearly on the Amazon page this is advertised as: MADE IN THE USA.

So I emailed the company this question:

"What percentage of the INGREDIENTS within this supplement are SOURCED entirely WITHIN the USA?"

(This is the FIRST TIME I've gotten this HONEST reply -- which of course NEGATES their claim on their Amazon page, right?)

The company's reply today:

"Yes, all final manufacturing and safety testing takes place in the United States. However, some raw materials are simply not manufactured in the US by anyone so in this case we do need to source from China as it is the only country that makes it."

Hope this helps

Best Regards,

-Reese

China farming and manufacturing processes are notorious for having toxins and poisons (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury, etc.)

So we're getting F'd by many of our doctors and F'd by taking supplements we think are SAFE.

That the US cannot supply most raw materials has been told to you several times, so I don't understand your outrage. Nor are your unsubtle generalisations about source countries ok. You may have a preference for local products, but to pretend that raw materials and agriculture in the US are ecologically sound and free of contaminants and toxins is new to me. Maybe you should put your focus on that before you judge others.

I never said that we can TRUST products made in the USA ... But ... because they ARE in the USA we know as consumers we can more easily FIND THEM and SUE them in court if their products are FAKE or injure us ... which is what I am doing RIGHT NOW with a law firm I have hired in Florida ...

Stay tuned for more info on that one...

Are you presuming that "made in the USA" protects us from contaminants or false label claims? If so, might I steer you to Consumer Lab which routinely does reports to the contrary. We need to be choosey of all supplements

You must have missed several of my "vitamin posts" including the one I posted today.

And I've posted several times about "Consumer Lab" ... You must have missed these things:

1. They do NOT do their own testing!

They OUTSOURCE their testing to "unknown" other labs ... local? foreign? who knows ... NO accountability.

2. Google "Consumer Lab reviews" and you will see that their own members have a generally LOW OPINION of the company.

3. They SELL MEMBERSHIPS ... that's their business model ... The are NOT some sort of "hero consumer advocate / protector of the public's health"

-------------------------------------------------------------

As for products "MADE IN THE USA" ...

For the last 3 months I've been working with a top law firm in Florida who is preparing to file a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against several vitamin manufacturers-sellers on Amazon who advertise their vitamins as: "MADE IN THE USA"

They are NOT.

The FDA has specific guidelines and regulations for ANYTHING advertised as "MADE IN THE USA."

ftc.gov/business-guidance/a...

Complying with the Made in USA Standard

"Marketers and manufacturers that promote their products as Made in USA must meet the “all or virtually all” standard."

----------------------------------------------------------

Just TODAY I got this response from one seller of Berberine that is advertised as: MADE IN THE USA.

I asked them: "What percentage of the ingredients are sourced entirely within the USA?"

ANSWER I got today (so now I get to add this THIEVING SCAMMING company to my list of DEFENDANTS!)

-------------------------------------------------------------

"Yes, all final manufacturing and safety testing takes place in the United States. However, some raw materials are simply not manufactured in the US by anyone so in this case we do need to source from China as it is the only country that makes it."

Hope this helps

But, why not, instead, sue to FDA to require they enforce rules re contaminates and accurate labeling against all violators because in substance, the issue is contamination and accurate labeling more than knowing the location of the manufacturer?

Frankly, "Made in America," per se, provides no reassurance to me.

Consumer Lab is transparent about their outsourcing their testing, I am satisfied they are generally reliable.

Consumer Lab has a "B-" rating on Trust Pilot.

Would you trust your "teeth" to a B- dentist?

How about your health to a B- doctor?

I believe every source of health info gets it wrong sometimes/

"How Products Were Selected:

Products were selected to represent those commonly sold and/or available in the U.S. ConsumerLab.com purchased products on the open market through retail stores, on-line retailers, and/or multi-level marketing companies. Products were not accepted directly from manufacturers.

Testing Methods:

Products containing sterols, stanols and/or policosanol were tested in one or more independent laboratories for the following:

Quantitative analysis of policosanol components by Gas Chromatography (GC) utilizing Flame Ionization Detection (FID) analytical method.

Quantitative Analysis of sterols and stanols by Gas Chromatography (GC) using a Flame Ionization Detector (FID) analytical method.

Quantitative analyses for lead, cadmium and arsenic by ICP/MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectroscopy) for products containing whole herbs and/or more than 250 mg of minerals per daily dose.

Disintegration of non-chewable, non-capsule and non-time released formulations utilizing USP (United States Pharmacopeia) methods.

Any product not passing testing was sent to another independent laboratory to repeat testing for the criterion on which it did not pass.

ConsumerLab.com may modify or use other appropriate test methods if necessary to test special product formulations.

Identities of the products were not disclosed to the laboratories performing the testing."

not bad

So WHY would they provide ANY evidence of that to ME when I contacted them???

MBAnderson profile image
MBAnderson in reply to PDWarrior1900

I don't know. I think they should have. They have replied to me several times.

PDWarrior1900 profile image
PDWarrior1900 in reply to MBAnderson

Did you ask them for a copy of the "lab report" of particular supplements?

MBAnderson profile image
MBAnderson in reply to PDWarrior1900

Yes, a few years ago, I was challenging one of their reports

PDWarrior1900 profile image
PDWarrior1900 in reply to MBAnderson

well ... as you said ... that was a few 'years' ago ...

my inquiries were more recent ...

bottom line: "BUYER BEWARE"

You, me, and a trained monkey could become a "Vitamin Seller on Amazon" -- tomorrow, if we wanted to!

There are tens of THOUSANDS of chemical labs around the world manufacturing "supplements."

They sell to anyone.

So for example you buy "VITAMIN C".

You hire a graphics designer to design you a nice label.

You contact "bottle" manufacturing companies and buy a nice bottle.

You go online to become a "seller on Amazon" -- takes a few minutes.

Bingo!

You are now a "Vitamin Manufacturer-Seller on Amazon"!

I'll give you another tip when shop for vitamins or anything on Amazon ...

Using your Chrome browser only ...

Go to the Chrome Webstore and search for and install this free app:

FakeSpot

It gives a A through F rating on all products sold on Amazon.

I find this app helpful ... but not 100% reliable (what is???).

Here's a much better and more reliable website to check on the quality of supplements and this company is NOT "selling memberships"!

labdoor.com/

MBAnderson in reply to PDWarrior1900

Thanks. I'll check them out. I've never heard of them.

PDWarrior1900 profile image
PDWarrior1900 in reply to MBAnderson

And I think you got that backwards ...

You don't "sue" the FDA to enforce its rules ... (unless you have MILLIONS of dollars and LOTS of time to WASTE...)

You sue the vitamin manufacturer ... and AMAZON ... directly.

That's what I'm doing.

And ... Recently this company on Amazon had to pay an $800,000 fine for advertising its "wrist ban" as "Made in Austria" when it was really made in... CHINA!

muellersettlement.com/

Amazon was slapped with a big fine as well, I believe.

to be honest coming from New Zealand I avoid products made in the US as I don’t believe them to be safe. Particularly foods which could contain GMOs or animal products fed grains instead of grass. And grains which are likely to be glyphosate contaminated.

I think so long as they are quality tested I think you probably have worse things to worry about on your plate every night for dinner.
