If you are like me, I feel like I am shopping 'BLIND' for vitamins.
Sure, there are reviews. But how 'RELIABLE' are they?
And it takes FOREVER to search Google about every brand/company who manufactures a supplement. You NEVER KNOW if you are actually getting what you paid for.
I just discovered....
FAKEspot.com and they have a free Chrome add-on that SPOTS fake reviews (per their formula/ algorithm).
I'm taking over 40 supplements DAILY in my stack so God knows what the heck is inside all these bottles... But now at least I have a FIGHTING CHANCE NOT TO GET CHEATED!
Yipeee!

Take a look at this book which you can get on Amazon. It is a comparative guide to many supplements. Among other information in the book, it rates supplements based on 18 criteria and assigns products using a 5 star rating system.
and if you had bothered to check instead of 'knee-jerk complaint' -- the ADD-ON is FREE at the Google Chrome webstore! DUHHHHHHHHH
Plus, do you think that two of the BIGGEST corporations in the WORLD... Google and Amazon ... would let just 'anyone' insert code into their website???
You can't get 'APPROVED by GOOGLE' in the Chrome Web Store unless you are LEGIT!
So try doing some 'THINKING' before you attack someone here on this forum.
Dìd you really type Duhhhhh ?How old are you 12😊 ?Serious points
- The basic app may be free but it makes money pushing adverts.
- you say "two of the BIGGEST corporations in the WORLD... Google and Amazon ... wouldnt let just 'anyone' insert code into their website???"
Well check out this link stating that Amazon is so concerned about the App that the Apple corporation banned it. Suggesting the app provided misleading information and potential security risks. :
From what I can find, the Google Play store and Apple App stores may have removed Fakespot in 2021 but they seem to be back now. I tried the Chrome extension but MalwareBytes flagged dozens of potentially unwanted files! Nice idea but I don't want them grabbing all my data, including authentication information. See fakespot.com/privacy-policy
thanks for the head-up but 99% of apps (secretly) grab our data IMO ... we have no privacy left in the USA ... EVERYBODY spies on us... especially our own gov't ... welcome to the 22nd century
i think consumerlab.com is questionable -- i did some research on them... did you know that they do NOT do their OWN testing? they sub-contract to many (questionable) 3rd party labs! so BUYER BEWARE on ConsumerLab.com
Plus they only got a 3.6 (out of '5' stars) rating on Trust Pilot:
Here's another source that reviewed the reputation of ConsumerLab.com
It got "80% positive" ... You'd think a company that touts itself as the judge on stuff we swallow and put inside our bodies would get a MUCH HIGHER rating than that, wouldn't you?
But if you use 40 supplements a day how do you recognize what they do for your health ? Have you ever thought that they may interact with each other and cause something unexpected?
but i'm not a scientist ... and it would take FOREVER to research all my vitamins possible side effects
all i can tell you is that for more than a year i've been holding my various symptoms 'in check' without prescription meds which ABSOLUTELY have side effects
IMO almost any supplement that directly affects neurotransmitters has the potential to exacerbate Parkinson's disease symptoms because they always affect the delicate balance of a weakened PwPs brain when overdose. Thiamine or vitamin B1 itself, although it affects the brain at an energy level, is known to cause tremors in the event of an overdose in the absence of adequate dopamine. For this alleged reason in my experience thiamine should not be taken without levodopa and take ample breaks if overdose symptoms occur.
This is of interest to me as I'm taking B1 without levodopa. Have you a reference Gioc? I was under the impression that high dose B1 was fairly benign.
We all know that, sadly, Dr. Constantini passed away from covid . My understanding that his clinic is still active and treating patients with PD. Do you have the contact information for that clinic? Thank you.
There aren't any Functional doctors in your area. My regular movement dr doesnt have any knowledge of supplements so you have to go to someone who knows.
