vitamin B1 supply New Zealand

I have recently read Daphne Bryan’s interesting book about the vitamin B1 therapy for PD and would like to try it. Does anyone have recommendations about which brand of B1 HCL to use? And where can it be purchased on-line in NZ?

Hi Marquis, i ordered 250 mg thiamine nitrate from my local chemist, not good for long term but useful for working out a good dose. I think they were about 25 dollars. Natures Own was the brand. I also used fruugo to order Solgar 500mg thiamine hydrochloride from overseas . I think it was about 80 dollars for 90 tabs. Ive found im quite sensitive to it and im experimenting with a lower dose.

I order from vitacost.com. im in Europe and they are un the US but with an address pal parcel motel or similar type of post account its possible to get it posted. I find them the best, easiest to take, and you can order on repeat once you have your dose.

I’m in Auckland. I order from vitacost in the US. It’s free shipping and usually arrives in about a week. Easy!

Thanks for that info. I looked at the Vitacost site in US and they do have a good deal of 500 mg x 300 tablets for $25.47 US. But postage to NZ was not free. Did you use a different site? Do you have any problem getting it through NZ customs?

hi marquis … I’ve just read the book too and found it really interesting . I’m in Spain and all I could find was a product called hydroxyl which is B1 (250mg) B6 (250ng) and b12. I’m really sensitive so I was happy to go in gently. It’s been a game changer for me … I have energy again and feel optimistic. I am amazed at the difference. I also read dr hadlocks books from the pdrecovery.org site which has dramatically improved things too. Good luck with the b1. I’m looking forward to hearing about others experience . I’m almost 4 yrs into diagnosis btw and 67 yrs old.

Do you have more info on the hydroxyl combo B product you mentioned. When I google hydroxyl it just show the chemistry definition of the word. So glad you are seeing good results. Thanks!

Hi I’m unsure what Daphne’s book adds concerning the B1 thiamine but I assume that you follow the Facebook page which I believe was created by Roy Propsner who has PD and has access to Dr Constanini’s guidance. He provides as much information that is possible and cares about the PD community. There’s a lot of useful info about the supplement and the page is called Parkinson’s Thiamine HCL. Worth looking at for suggested doses suppliers etc. Good Luck

Hi, if you want the oral 500mg caps i get them from Vitacost in the USA. 300 cap bottle is about $25.00, i usually get 3 or 4 bottles. Cheaper to get Magnesium and B12 there aswell. Nobody in NZ stocks 500mg caps.

Hi. Thats good. I get mine from a health food shop in Auckland. They order it for me and 100 500mg tabs are about $ 70.00 so I will go to vitacost. Is that $25.00 USA dollars or nz. Thank you
