I've been not being able to breathe very well through my nose when my meds wear off. I feel like i'm going to suffocate. Does anyone have any information about this? thank you!

I have the same problem. I think it’s a situation for me where I just don’t have the dopamine to keep my nostrils flared when I’m off. Check out “woody knows” nasal dialator on Amazon...I use the small.

OH GOSH thank you for this info. I've been thinking I"ll suffocate during the night , or wont breath at all if i get a cold. So scary.

were you happy with them and what brand did you choose?

I tried a few different kinds on Amazon but a brand called “Woody Knows “ size small works best for me. You can buy on Amazon. Breathe Right strips work too but sometimes come off overnight. I do have a deviated septum but this is a non-surgical option. Good luck!

I think you first explore whether you are a candidate for nasal surgery. Intriguing how many cases are a matter of structural problems, deviated septum etc.

My old doctor (retired ) said that I have a bacterial infection in my sinus. He gave me a small nasal spray of silver. I asked him how long I would need to use it and he answered, maybe the rest of your life. The spray is available in Health food stores not in pharmacies with several brand names. They are all the same, super clean water and silver at approx 10 parts per million of colloidal silver and nothing more. It really really works for me. I don't know what I would do with out it. Bacteria and virus can not live in contact with silver.

GymBag,

The probable reason that you can not completely kill off the bacterial infection is because it has probably developed a biofilm that protects some of the bacteria so it can still reproduce. Colloidal silver can breakdown some biofilms, but that effect is fairly week at just 10 ppm. The 20 ppm or higher might be more effective against a biofilm, but that is too strong for a sinus application and will burn and feel very uncomfortable so that is not an option. There is a sinus spray called XLEAR that contains xylitol and xylitol can also work against some biofilms, but it is very gentle on the sinuses. Just a thought, but maybe you can try using the two together to see if the XLEAR can possibly break down the biofilm and let the silver kill all of the bacteria. Here is a link to the product :

As you can see from the reviews, the majority of users like it. Perhaps apply the XLEAR first and then try the CS about 30 minutes later. On the other hand, maybe if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
