Feeling of unstable physical balance.

In the past 20 days I have been operated on for inguinal hernia and I have lost my dear father. From a psycho physical point of view, my condition was not affected at all in those bad days. I resisted very well. Now, a few days after those worries, something has changed: my balance is unstable, dizziness has appeared, the walk is undecided. I attribute all this to a condition of high stress. Does anyone share this thesis with me? My diagnosis is about two years ago. I take 50 mg. of Sinemet h.8 - h.12 - h.16; 100mg. injection once a week of Vit.B1 and various supplements. Thanks friends

Possibly. Some people are adversely affected by anesthesia - another possibility.

My symptoms fluctuate and the cause is not always clear.

Hopefully you aren't taking an opioid for pain. My neurologist said opioids will make PD medications less effective. They may have given you an opioid in the hospital.

My stress response is always after....I am go, go, go during the stressful event...then I am incapacitated for days after. Just let yourself rest and focus on calming. I listen to yoga nidra or calming music on youtube. Allow yourself to feel the grief/feelings...they pass more quickly when you allow them to flow. Don't judge yourself or put extra pressure on yourself to "get on with it". It makes you even more stressed. Just allow your body to process and heal from the stress. I've just had 4 years of hell (dad. mom, sister, stepdad, maid of honor died/2 good friends fighting for their lives with aggressive cancer/a teenage son full of angst/lots of stress with siblings over estates/partner who doesn't put any effort in) and have been in bed alot.....completely exhausted. I felt bad about it and judged myself horribly....now I realize I just needed to rest. I am after all, a human being.....with PD.

Thanks Ryan, what you write is very nice even if painful and that's why I'close to you. We must not get carried away and win events but let them flow without resisting. In the end the mind calms. Too simple (and dangerous) too increase Levodopa. Thanks again Ryan

I definitively agree with you about stress playing havoc in our bodies, either triggering all kinds of severe pains or unexplained health issues such as ADRENAL BURNOUT for which unfortunately (in my own experience) conventional docs offer absolutely no hope at all.

However, unstable balance and dizziness, beside being symptoms caused by emotional stress, may as well be caused or exacerbated by l-dopa/carbidopa.

One of the best remedies I know to help balance the adrenals after periods of intense stress is called 911 Burnout Homeopathic Spray. Another remedy that has provided me almost immediate relief is called Rescue Remedy. Wish you feel better soon.
