it’s my first post post and to be honest I know not much about this problem. But I really want to learn because my family are really worried my 13 year old nephew might have this problem. He’s had some symptoms that I’ve read about for several months now and when taken to the doctors he was taken to the taken to the the gp who asked for a blood and stool sample. We went for the blood results and the doctor rang back saying things look ok but really need the stoo sample which my nephew is so reluctant to do 🙈. He’ll have to anyway now. But the doc said some words and were wondering it could be any kind of problem but crohns popped into his mums head a lot. Really worried.. so I thought this place would be a good place just for any help experience ideas or similar chats… thanks for reaching the extra long message 🙏

Hi thereSo sorry to hear of your nephews problems, especially in such a young lad, but not that rare as people may think. He will probably need more thorough investigations if the stool sample doesn't show up anything. Don't be too worried as there are numerous treatments out there. Let's all hope that all tests will come back negatively, but if he is diagnosed with Chrons or Colitis these forums will provide lots of support for him and his family.
Good luck and best wishes.
