Conscious sedation after effects

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post.

I had a colonoscopy at 14.30on Monday and was told the sedative would take 24 hours to leave my system so took the day off work.

I’m back at work today and o still feel really out of it, muddled, making mistakes and my temperature is a bit all over the place.

Is this normal so long after?

Thank you

The one time I had sedation, it didn't last that long! Do you have a diagnosis or reason for having the colonoscopy? Did they tell you what was found? Maybe you have inflammation which could be causing fever and feeling poorly. Hope things improve soon.

Hi I’ve had two colonoscopies and have never felt like the effects from the sedation for more than 60/90 minutes maximum afterwards personally. They would of given you some paperwork before you left the hospital with a telephone number why not just call them?

Before being discharged after the colonoscopy did they give you some contact details from the hospital to contact if you have any issues?
