Vedolizumab and back pain

Hi guys.

Has anyone else experienced severe lower back pain on Vedolizumab?? I’m just wanting to make sure it’s normal sometimes it feels so stiff that I can’t move

Hi, firstly I'm really sorry to hear you're suffering like that. I've only had my first 3 vedo so far (loading doses of it) - I haven't experienced joint or back pain though I had read it is a potential side effect.

That said, if it is particularly noticeable it is always worth checking in with your clinicians team. They can give you a firm answer and also it might be useful for them to be aware of your current state. I hope you have an easier time of it before long

Hello, I’m wondering whether the back pain got better? My mum has recently had 2 vedolizumab infusions which have resulted in debilitating back pain. It’s been 2 months since the 2nd one and it doesn’t appear to be improving - if anything, getting worse. Would really like to hear what happened in your case. Thank you.
