I have colitis, no to the gas but I have constant pain and pressure at rectum caused by rectocele and levator-ani syndrome.I use daily trans-anal irrigation as cannot have a normal Bowel movement. My physio does trigger point pressure at the pubirectalis muscles which helps with the constant painful spasms. I also get botox injections into same area helps alleviate symptoms for about 3mths where I get to sit on my bottom like a normal person.

Hope you find a treatment that works well for you.
