Insane?

Hi everyone

I have had active colitis and diverticulitis for over 18 months and seem to be getting ignored, brushed off and am starting to lose my mind as well as my bowel!! I have today made an appointment at a private hospital for next week as I have been bleeding from my bottom for over 3days. A and e staff offered me some piles cream for the bleeding pile that I dont have!! Is this common during the first few years?

You need proper medication. Can you ring your consultants secretary up?

I have an appointment at a private clinic on Tuesday. I have waited 18 for the NHS, which I fully understand with with the virus but I have struggled all this time. Spoke to consultants secretary 3 months ago and still not heard anything. I'm almost housebound at this point. Thank you for your reply

I have had a similar experience during covid . When I did eventually see my consultant he couldn’t apologise enough. But it had a mental effect on me having being left in pain and taking time off work for so long. Hope you get sorted although you should not have to pay and go private for this.
