I just got a colonoscopy done Friday and when I pass A bowel movement I’ve notice blood.. my colonoscopy was clear. But idk why I’m bleeding now... is it normal ?
Did this happen to anyone ? - Crohn's and Colit...
Did this happen to anyone ?
Yes, they may have taken a biopsy, or even scraped the lining inside the bowel. It should stop bleeding in a couple of days, if not, contact your GP or GI team.
They did take biopsy they told me but they said small ones. They also said I have hemorrhoids which is weird because i thought hemorrhoids you bleed and I havent Till now
You don"t always bleed with hemorrhoids, sometimes they are just there and cause annoyance. If the bleeding is fairly light, contact your GP on Wednesday or Thursday, if you are still bleeding.
Oh ok got it... thank you so much for you help !!! Well i talk to my gp dr Friday to see the biopsy results. Do you have an idea why the do biopsy’s ? Like what can it detect ?
It happened to me too. It's normal.
Hi just keep monitoring yourself and if the bleeding gets worse or you start to feel ill then phone the doctor or go to the hospital. Biopsies are just to make sure their diagnosis is correct and no other underlying things going on. I've had them taken . I too have haemorrhoids which barely flare up and are more extremely sore than have bleeding from them. x Anita
that’s what I’ve been doing i bled a little the day they did it but yesterday was little more, but i will definitely keep an eye on it ! So you don’t always bleed with hemorrhoids ?
Yes I always bleed after they have taken biopsies ,just keep an eye on it because last time I had a colonoscopy they removed a big polyp which they put a clip on but it fell off. I started experiencing very bad stomach ache right from that night, I should have known something was wrong because you always have a bit of a tummy ache after but this was much worse, then I started bleeding loads, and I mean loads, I rang 111 they sent an ambulance and I spent the next four days in hospital while they got the bleeding under control, but that is rare, it's the first time anything like that has happened In the 30 years of having ulcerative colitis
Okay they keeps my very calm knowing it’s normal ! I was bleeding the day it happen but very little and yesterday was a little more i freaked out. Thank you so much for your response !!
