I was just diagnosed with microscopic colitis. I have a bowel movement question and the color. It seems to be light colored. Is this normal for a newly diagnosis

The lighter the colour, normally means it has been waiting a long time to come out, however, with colitis, because all the liquid has not been drained through the intestines it would appear to make the faeces look lighter and more watery. So, is it normal? What is normal? If you mean is it unusual? then, No it is not unusual. I would think it is certainly within the bounds of acceptability for a newby, but if you have any real concerns the best person to ask is you GI consultant.

I have had mine range from a light tan to dark black color. Mine has been that way for years I just figured it was my diet and my digestive system. As long as you don’t see blood in it I wouldn’t worry unless you are having symptoms. Then I’d go to your gastroenterologist to see about it.
