Hi I have been told yesterday to have a colonooscopy since its 4 year's since last one when re removed a few

Ulcers but I am dreading it

Please u need a bit of reassurance

Is if worth it etc

Definately, as you are probably aware having IBD slightly increases your chances of developing bowel cancer. Having a colonoscopy will help recognise changes in the bowel in the early stages which would go undetected otherwise. The longer you have IBD the more frequent you should have colonoscopies. I have one every 2 years.

Nothing to it, I had one no problems, the nurse just kept talking to me, kept me calm. No need even for any medication. Worth having done as puts your mind at rest. Best of luck.

Definitely have one, just ask for full sedation, painkillers and I even have gas and air as well and its no problem.
