Hi, a lot of IBD sufferers are misdiagnosed with IBS in the beginning.

The Gastro clinic will be able to do bloods and tests that are necessary for a diagnosis, tho it may take a while.

Hang in there and let me know how you get on tomorrow

Good, seems your GP pretty much on the ball. the next step is likely to be a colonoscopy where they cay can look at bowel and take biopsies

It's good that you will be seen at the gi clinic. Pulled muscle doesn't sound like a correct diagnosis. Hope all turns out well for you.

I have Crohn's disease and had a bad bought last year. I've always had diarrhea, so I thought my situation was normal. I was sick everyday, 6-10 times a day. I started taking "sits" baths to soothe my sore bum and stopped eating much (lost 30 lbs). One day, I just checked my temperature for the heck of it and I have a fever. The fever is what made me go to the hospital and low and behold, I had a small perforation in my intestines and they sent me in for emergency surgery. I was also going to the GI doctor and the MD, and no one was getting me anywhere. You have to keep screaming sometimes!!! Sorry you have to deal with this.
