I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis back in late 80's ,,,,it was terrible ,,,however ,since I've been using steroid inhalers for my lung condition ,,,,,my colitis seems controllable ,fingers crossed it remains that way ,
Is it safe to take mesalazine/octasa long term?Passing blood without passing stools anyone else experienced this.
? To old for a Colonoscopy 
Any advice for gastro symptoms which respond to steroids, but no diagnosis? Does normal colonoscopy cover the small bowel?
