Lunchtime Running Club Run

A lovely run at lunchtime with colleagues for quick 5ish K. Six of us today, but we split up based on experience, speed etc.

What is even more exciting is that one of the group is about to graduate (Geri), she did W9R1 and I am pleased to report she is hooked on this running lark.

Well done Phil you really have helped your friends and workmates who may never have thought to do something like going for a run at lunchtime. I'll bet most of them just sat at their desks and surfed the web, I would have been one of them 5 years ago!!!!!

You're so right about people sitting at their desks through lunch. I was that person until I quit smoking and started walking at lunch to get some fresh air, as I no longer went outside in the day.

That's so good Phil. Bet you feel like a proud parent?! :)

I do a bit, but I think it is because she doubted herself (which we all do on this journey) and then acheived and then got inspired :-)

I really enjoy the sharing experiences aspect, another person to bore about running ;-)

They say we lead by example, so this must make you feel great Phil! Because of your success with C25K, you have created your very own running club!! :-) Congratulations to Geri and wishing her a bright running future! Now, you have work to do...looks like we may have some new members of your running club joining us for the 2014 5x50 challenge? ;-) Gayle

I think we will definitely see one or two extra at the next 5x50 event, some have the bug :-)
